Making Compliance Less Complicated

In 2007, as an executive in the performance media space, Alex saw a need for better optics into the quality and compliance of leads and calls. With that vision, he started PerformLine, but what he didn’t realize at the time was that he was pioneering a new industry around marketing and sales compliance.

With a team of like-minded industry veterans joining the cause, they started with a simple piece of Javascript and screenshots to help marketers understand where their brand was being promoted in the expanding ecosystem.

As marketers’ needs became clearly defined and as regulators applied greater pressure for consumer protection, the PerformLine platform took shape—and took off!

Alex Baydin

Founder and CEO,
Alex Baydin

Alex is a seasoned executive and a recognized leader in the compliance and digital media industries. Alex founded PerformLine as he saw the growing need for compliance and verification in the marketing space. Using his deep experience in media and compliance, he developed the PerformLine™ SaaS platform to bring automation and scale to companies looking to mitigate risk and ensure brand safety. PerformLine empowers leaders with a first-line of defense solution to mitigate risk across major consumer touchpoints: digital, voice, chat, email and social. By combining scalable tools and intelligent automation into one integrated platform, PerformLine creates a clear path to discover, monitor, act on, and mitigate regulatory risk and ensure brand safety. Prior to founding PerformLine, Alex held leadership roles at Epic Media Group, Inc., a performance-based affiliate network and lead aggregator, Quigo Technologies, a pioneer in contextual CPC technology and SEM firm eventually acquired by AOL, and at United Online (NASD:UNTD) an internet service provider. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

David Jakbowski

David is a seasoned executive and industry expert on digital monetization, with a long history leading sales, business development, marketing, and product teams. David is the CEO and co-founder of Ureeka, a Community where new majority businesses get unprecedented access to expertise needed to grow their business. David is the former head of advertising technology at Facebook, where he oversaw the use of ad technology to serve and measure campaigns for marketers. Prior to Facebook, David was SVP of marketing services at Neustar. David joined Neustar when it acquired Aggregate Knowledge, a data-management platform, where he was CEO. David has also held leadership positions at Specific Media, the largest freestanding global ad network, at Microsoft, where he was general manager of Microsoft adCenter, and search strategy and Quigo Technologies. David is a graduate of Binghamton University.


LaSalle Vaughn

LaSalle Vaughn

LaSalle has over 20 years of financial services executive experience in highly regulated industries leading large global operations and compliance teams for Fortune 500 & fast-growing startups. He has deep expertise in operations, risk management, compliance, contact centers and transformation scaling for high growth organizations. LaSalle is a former US Naval Officer, published thought leader and public speaker.

In August 2020, LaSalle became the Head of Product Compliance & Quality Assurance for Robinhood Markets.  In this expanded role, he leads teams that provide advice, risk mitigation, approval & quality assurance for new and enhanced Robinhood products.

In March 2019, he joined Robinhood as the Head of Global Communications Compliance where he supervised teams approving communications for Broker-Dealer Securities, Crypto, & International entities in adherence with federal and state regulations including FINRA, the SEC, FCA & FINCEN, CCPA, GDPR, & GLBA. LaSalle serves on numerous steering committees which provide management oversight over certain key functions at Robinhood, including supervisory systems, product approval, Quality Assurance and Diversity & Inclusion.

Prior to joining Robinhood, LaSalle was the Executive & Marketing Compliance Officer for United Services Automobile Association (USAA) – a Fortune 100, diversified financial services firm that provides insurance, banking, investments, and advice to over 13 million active duty and retired military members and their families.   In this role, he led the Compliance oversight of all advice and approval of marketing and new product creation for USAA, its affiliates, and third parties.

In External Affairs at USAA, LaSalle served as the Foundation Director, managing financials, operating budgets, audits & monthly reports for the $200M USAA Foundation investments and its $13M annual distribution. He regularly reported to the Board of Directors & public figures on the financial health and performance of the Foundation.  Prior to USAA, LaSalle served as a Wealth Manager for Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo, managing over $500M for high profile senior executives and professional athletes.

LaSalle serves on the Executive Committee for the University of Texas At Austin Longhorn Foundation (T-Association).  He also served as a Board member on the Investment Committee for the University of Texas at Austin (TEXAS EXES).

He earned his BBA from The Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a Certified Wealth Strategist, a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional and is registered to hold FINRA registrations 7, 24, 66 and the Group 1 life, annuity and health license. He is married to Nikole and they have a two children, Sydney and LaSalle IV and they currently reside in Sunnyvale, California.

Stuart Larkins

Stuart is an Internet entrepreneur and digital marketing expert with more than twelve years of experience leading Internet companies and start-up organizations. Stuart is a co-founder and Partner of Chicago Ventures, a seed stage venture capital fund. Prior to joining the Chicago Ventures, he was part of the founding management team at Performics, a pioneering company in affiliate and search engine marketing. During his eight years at Performics, he helped lead the business through rapid growth and subsequent acquisitions by Doubleclick, Hellman & Friedman, Google, and Publicis. In addition to his involvement with the Chicago Ventures, Stuart is the Founder and Managing Partner of Twin Capital, where he is an investor in early-stage interactive marketing service and technology companies. He sits on the board of directors of PerformLine and Trunk Club. Stuart holds a B.S. in Economics from Southern Methodist University.


Jonathan R. Wallace

Managing Director & Co-Founder, Outcome Capital
Jonathan R. Wallace

Since co-founding Outcome Capital Group in 1998, Jonathan has focused his efforts on business and financial services where he has been responsible for guiding growth-stage companies. Jonathan represents Outcome Capital on the Board of First Equity Card, Exmplar, PerformLine, and Double Positive. He has also been responsible for the firm’s highly successful Internet advertising investments that have included the WeatherBug and Advertising.com. Jonathan is widely regarded as an expert in designing capital structures for middle market companies with the objective of increasing flexibility and/or lowering financing costs in the capital structure. During his long career as an investment banker, Jonathan was responsible for the placement of over $3.5 billion of senior debt, subordinated debt, and equity. He has financed the capital needs of over 40 Fortune 500 companies. Jonathan received his MBA with honors from the Darden School of Business and BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
