Last night was the inaugural meeting for the North Jersey Python/Django Developers Group. We started this group as a way to foster a community of regional North Jersey developers as an option to similar groups far from home (eg. NYC).

There are currently 22 members, 11 attended last nights meeting. Attendee’s came from companies like Prudential (insurance), Star Ledger (newspaper), Chubb (insurance), Rutgers (research), as well smaller startups working in the advertising services, personal data management and pool facilities management.

The speaker was our very own Lead Developer, Masroor who presented on the topic “Python and Redis.” He clearly knew the topic, demoed its functionality and fielded questions on the fly. Our first attendee review sums it up ‘I recommend to others’.

Our next meeting will be in May/June. Hope you can join us!
